Musing about the “brainarium” and the “thing on its own”.

To prove his point, my friend had to concede my point. My point was the basis for his point. He only distinguished the two objects as tree and picture of the tree, and not more precisely as two different things, which may resemble each other. He assumes rightly, and this is the task of Kant, to explain how we decide to distinguish in the way we do and to be so sure it is the “right” way.
